There are numerous ways to display to your guests that you’re living well and you’ve got a good taste for decorations – but one of the best ways remains to use custom aquariums. It’s one thing to have a large bowl with interesting-looking fish in it, but completely different to present your visitors with a glowing display with a miniature underwater environment, housing a number of rare/exotic fishes. Something like that can have people coming back to your house just to gaze upon your delightful aquarium – so if you’ve got the money, you definitely shouldn’t spare a dime when you’re coming up with the initial design!

And designing your own custom aquariums isn’t so difficult and is just a matter of having the right mindset and creativity. First, pick a spot – location is the most important thing! You should make it someplace visible, yet not totally intrusive (people shouldn’t feel like it’s being pushed into their eyes, rather they should be elegantly drawn to it). Don’t make it overly large as well – sure, you may have the money to turn your whole house into an aquarium if you wanted to, but the key here is finding the right balance between size and contents.

Another interesting idea for placing custom aquariums is to have them circling the room, going from wall to wall and maybe even in the floor/ceiling. The latter two can be especially great-looking, even more so when you throw in the right kind of lighting – but they also cost quite a bit in most cases, in order to ensure that you won’t take a step and fall into the aquarium among shards of broken glass.

Speaking of lighting, you should take some time to think about that carefully as well. You wouldn’t want to make the light too bright as this would be unnatural to most fish, but on the other hand you should give enough visibility to what’s inside the aquarium. Built-in lights can often work well, but you should make sure the wiring is done right and in a way that completely precludes any electrical problems due to the water coming in contact with the lighting system.

Decorating the space around the custom aquariums you’re building is often just as important as creating the right environment inside them – for example, your choice of materials for lining the aquarium’s walls should be made with regards to the general tone of things inside, as well as the available space. In most cases you should go for thin frames that just provide support and don’t block too much vision.

If you’re feeling cocky, you can even have your custom aquariums built around your electronics – like underneath your TV and around the home entertainment system. This can look incredibly well and stylish, but of course you’ll have to be careful to avoid how it’s designed and connected – the rule about being careful with the wiring we mentioned above applies with even more force here, so take all the care you need.

Aquarium looks good at homes and offices. But it looks even more beautiful when you install custom aquariums. For installation of indoor waterfalls at reasonable prices, click the above link.
